Buildup -- Step 4: Servo saver

All accounts of the stock Mad Force steering setup have noted it to be disappointingly sloppy. I'll be doing as many tricks as possible to overcome this, starting with the use of Kyosho's upgraded steering rod set (fig. 23). With these, you want to use Loctite on the end shafts and tighten the ball ends all the way down (they are the perfect length; no need to measure).

The assembly steps for the servo saver go very quickly and easily. Make sure you follow the correct order of operations to avoid having to take it all apart to get to something you skipped by. Do not lubricate the outer tube -- this is a plastic-on-metal setup which works best if kept dry and lube-free. Be sure to use Loctite on the 3mm nut at the end.
