Buildup -- Step 7: Chassis sides

This is another step where it's helpful to lay out all of your parts & hardware before beginning assembly (fig. 33). Double-check and triple-check the orientation of the plate and of each part and each screw before tightening anything -- it's easy to make mistakes here. Note the "tentatively tighten" icons pointing to the screws that go into the "chassis joint" posts. If you're going to proceed to the first half of page 15 of the manual immediately (which I highly recommend), use Loctite on the 3x10mm screws now, otherwise you'll have to undo them momentarily.

Once you've attached the side plates to the main chassis (using Loctite on the 3x10's here as well), you can finish tightening the chassis joint screws. At last, you'll have something big & three-dimensional to gaze at!
